Make & Take

Ed's Weekend Challenge @ Laine's.
to use multi~photos on your layout :)
Laine's Papeterie had a make & take sometime ago
and my Little Ones did an item each.
i realise that this paper & stickers just goes well for this layout
the items didn't exactly stayed firm in the hands of Little Ones
so i incorporated the star and cute tag
they did on this page :) hope you'll join in the fun!
24x24 Poster Layout
so i was kept busy getting this project done ;)
Baby Girl turned 1 last week and Auntie Ed
was asked to create this from her Mommy
who wanted a Princess Theme
Mom sent me all her photos and she wanted some space for
Guests on her Birthday to leave a message.
the scalloped circles were meant for signatures.
music note stamp in pink.
though can't really see from here...
the little carriage as a trail making it's way to the
Castle when the card opens
included an embossed 6x6 card
made a slot @ the back with tags for
Mom & Dad to write their Special note to her :)

Phew! my very 1st 24x24 layout
and it took me 4 days to complete. what a challenge for me!
so glad Mom & Dad of Little Princess loved this :)
they even decided NOT to let Guests sign on it fearing they would stain or ruin it..hehe
a simple layout of Baby on the day she was born a year ago.
photos taken on my handphone @ the hospital.
yes...i kept it for that long and finally managed to scrapbook about it!
Hello Bag...
another one, actually two to add to my collection ;)
Clavin Klein bags are having a Sale. my favourite word when shopping..hehe. go buy!
this one is reversible and the turqoise blue just matches those turqoise rings and bangles of mine :D the other one is a vinyl tote like bag. will take a photo when it's out of it's packaging :D

Clocks & Watches
Ron & i love collecting them. we have a few @ home.
some shots here.
love this Mickey Mouse bangle watch.
it's quite old and i'm Happy it's still ticking!

hope you had a great weekend :) kids will be having school holidays soon and we're still planning where we'd like to go for a break. it's funny that taking a break from the kids would be "free~ing" but being together is still the best thing. at least there's no more diapers to change and we're stroller & pram free! hehe... Dear Moms with tiny tots, no worries, you'd probably feel the same way once that phase is over ;) unless you miss those days...

Thanks for coming by, have a fun week ahead and Stay Creative! *hugs*

Pink Ribbon

in Honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month :)

A handsome, middle~aged man walked quietly into the Cafe and sat down.

Before he ordered, he couldn't help but notice a group of younger men at the table next to him.

It was obvious they were making fun of something about him, and it wasn't until he remembered he

was wearing a small pink ribbon on the lapel of his suit that he became aware of what the joke was all about.

The man brushed off the reaction as ignorance, but the smirks began to get to him.

He looked one of the rude men square in the eye, placed his hand beneath the ribbon and asked, quizzically,

'This?'

With that the men all began to laugh out loud.

The man he addressed said, as he fought back laughter,

'Hey, sorry man, but we were just commenting on how pretty your pink ribbon looks against your blue jacket!'

The middle aged man calmly motioned for the joker to come over to his table and invited him to sit down.

The guy obliged, not really sure why. In a soft voice, the middle aged man said,

'I wear this ribbon to bring awareness about breast cancer. I wear it in my mother's honour.'

'Oh, sorry dude. She died of breast cancer?'

'No, she didn't. She's alive and well. But her breasts nourished me as an infant and were a soft resting place for my head when I was scared or lonely as a little boy.

I'm very grateful for my mother's breasts and her health.'

'Umm,' the stranger replied, 'Yeah.'

'And I wear this ribbon to honour my wife', the middle aged man went on.

'And she's okay, too?' the other guy asked.

'Oh, yes. She's fine. Her breasts have been a great source of loving pleasure for both ofus and with them she nurtured and nourished our beautiful daughter 23 years ago. I am grateful for my wife's breasts, and for her health.'

'Uh huh. And I guess you wear it to honour your daughter, also?'

'It's too late to honour my daughter by wearing it now.

My daughter died of breast cancer one month ago.

She thought she was too young to have breast cancer, so when she accidentally noticed a small lump, she ignored it. She thought that since it wasn't painful, it must not be anything to worry about.'

Shaken and ashamed, the now sober stranger said, 'Oh, man, I'm so sorry mister.'

'So, in my daughter's memory, too, I proudly wear this little ribbon, which allows me theopportunity to enlighten others.

Now, go home and talk to your wife and your daughters, your mother and your friends.

And here,' the middle-aged man reached in his pocket and handed the other man a little pink ribbon.

The guy looked at it, slowly raised his head and asked, 'Can ya help me put it on?'

This is breast cancer awareness month.

Do regular breast self-exams and encourage those women you love to do the same.

Take Care, sending Pink *hugs*
