When The Heart Beats A Little Faster...

last night, i didn't sleep so well. wasn't feeling at ease. after coming back from my Mum's, called Aysha & Muesa to meet me at the bus stop after they got back from school. the uneasy feeling came during the bus ride home actually. but i felt really happy to see them and i'm just glad that they're really good kids despite having their silly attitudes at times.

after settling everyone down, did some scrapping & altered another door hanger and made a card as requested by my Mum. she wanted to give it to her friend as a Thank You gift. when that was done, went to bed and still felt that anxiousness. it wasn't a bad vibe kind of feeling but just one that makes the heart beat a little faster.

but i did fall asleep and Thankfully slept pretty well. this morning, after Subuh, told kids we'd go to my Mum's. everyone got ready and i tidied up my scrap table a little. but it actually needs alot more tidying up really!!! ;) changed the batteries from my cybershot. took the old ones and placed them in the charger.

so we were all ready and then Aysha asked if i smelled like a burning smell. i wasn't cooking anything and i brushed it off as those scent you sometimes get in the morning. where sometimes people were burning papers and tyres from big trucks. i guess... but somehow the smell was too evident coming from my scrap table and gosh... the batteries were melting in the charger!!! Thank God this was discovered!

i'm so Thankful and it's really beautiful that Aysha was able to detect the burning scent! otherwise, we would have left home and came back to a burnt down apartment! :( scary thought and maybe this was the uneasy feeling i felt last night. i quickly unplugged the thing and it was really hot and my books underneath would have burnt first! we've been using that charger for weeks now and this is the first time this has ever happened! well, there's always a first time for everything and i'm just so so glad we manage to avoid coming home to an inferno.

went to my Mum's, told her about it and she too was glad it was realised before we left. we had breakfast, no she didn't cook. but she did cook my favourite dish, fried ladies fingers and we left soon after as kids had to go to school. gave the altered door hanger to my Mum, she was very happy with what i did. i'm happy she likes it :)

came back, checked the charger, the batteries were stuck and i'm not touching that anymore. will show it to Ron when he gets home. Thankfully he'll be home on Saturday instead of next month. somehow his work permit needs renewal and he doesn't want to spend 3 days in Sri Lanka. he'd rather come home. plus his brand new notebook crashed and guess who had to pick it up from his friend(who just got back from Maldives) and then send it to the shop where he bought it from???
