Happy Mothers Day

this morning, after i told the Little Ones after the umpteenth time to pick up their books and toys, Aneesa came and gave this to me...

Umie: Aneesa, today is not Mother's Day.

Aneesa: but Everyday is Mothers Day. i made this for you Umie.

i'm so touched... and while Little Anis didn't make me a card, he made his Thomas train come into my room and he said, "Thomas wants to say Hi to you Umie." and then they said "Sorry Umie..." ahhh...kids!

and i'm so delighted to see these flowers blooming in my kitchen :) at least Ron knows that they're still blooming and growing while he's away

some layouts i did...

Life
my cousin and her Baby Daughters ;)
did this for Aussie Dares
Great Spot
for this photo :) did this for Sketches! Recipestamped on already embossed vellum and journalled
come and join in the Yellow Challenge over @ Papierhouse
i painted the corners on this layout of my cute L'il SisterLucu Banget
which translates to Very Cute.
did this for Sketches! Recipe.
i just wanted to do some layouts in
Bahasa Indonesia for my Dad's family living there :)
painted, stitched and cut out about 6 or 7 flowers
from a pp and put them together :)
What's for Lunch and Dessert?
some days, i can't think of what to cook for my kids!
decided to make Chicken TomYum, more sourish than spicy for me :D

on Monday night, i was scrapping and suddenly felt like baking... so took out butter, sugar, flour and Milo and Yayy!
a Milo Dinosaur cake was baked! hehe...

it turned out to be Very Sweet!!! but the whole cake was left as crumbs after we had it while it was warm :) kids gave this cake a thumbs up! woohoo...

it's now midweek and hope you are well, in good health and having a wonderful time where you are. Thank You for coming by even for a little while. Appreciate your kind words before you leave :) have a great rest of the week and Take Care!

oh and Happy Mothers Day to All you Sweet Moms!!!

Art & Craft

this morning, i found this...
pale purple and kinda boring
i planned to paint it...
but instead, i altered it :)
showed how i "transformed" this cute item to my husband and he was impressed :) i think it turned out quite pretty. you think? i'm usually not quick when it comes to altering anything (would take me days!) but this one, under 2 hours! :D maybe i'll place some Mini Books or cards or maybe for Eid, i'll place some pretty napkins in it to be my "show off" centre piece *wink*

the patterned paper is unavailable here. although *hint hint*, it'll be in December's Groovie Kit :) tis the season *wink*

hope everyone is doing well. in good health and Happy spirits :)
i am wishing this too for the people that aren't as fortunate as we are. i am glad Ron and his friends and i have been able to help in some small way with monthly donations and charity work for the less fortunate. volunteering their time and sacrificing a few hours means nothing to them. but to help and making the effort to do so, only God is able to reward them.

i am a little emotional... *sob sob* probably because sad to see Ramadan go. for me, it's only 30 days of fasting, without food and water. but for those who have nothing much to eat or fresh water to drink on a daily basis...God, please help them. we are truly Blessed. a reminder for me and often to my kids to be Thankful and be Grateful with everything that their Dad has been able to provide them with.

and since my topic today is on Art & Craft, my Sweetie Aneesa just handed me this...she says,
"It's our Happy Family"
a little artist in the making? but she said that's a cat...which we don't have? hehe.. it's Boy, Grandma's cat which we borrowed for the day :D that's a piece of old paper and obviously not acid free! but love the distressed effect and i just love any art work by any of my children :)
*i Heart my Kids*

*Hugs* to All!
