Gunung Ledang
Sagil Waterfall
Mama Lat & Tok came to pick us up in the early morning. Mama Chee came along too and we were all ready for our "expedition" that day! :) the journey to Malaysia was pretty smooth and the 4hr road trip was really fun! the scenery was beautiful and everyone enjoyed themselves even though all of us were stuck in the car for that long..hehe. we took a few breaks but there were not many cars on the expressway hence the ride was just wonderful.

after the fun ride, we arrived at Sagil Waterfall. we had to pay for admission and unfortunately for us, it began to rain very heavily! Mama Lat & Mama Chee already seemed not too keen to carry on. but since we were already wet, we might as well go for it and we did. everyone was still smiling during the first few minutes of climb but upon seeing the many many steps leading up the waterfalls...a few faces cringed hehehe...
legend has it that there's a Princess or Puteri Gunung Ledang still living up there. this mountain forest reserve has clear and well~marked trails leading to the 1 276 metre summit, making it perfect for jungle trekking and at the base of the mountain is the Sagil Waterfall where we were from :)
my kids really enjoyed themselves! the water was so cold but they immersed themselves and went to the rocks where the waterfall was. Tok brought Aneesa & Anis to sit there for a "waterfall massage" ;)
Mama Chee finally relaxed. my arms still hurt from carrying Anis all the way up! felt a little dizzy when we got there but after a few minutes got my bearings back ;)
everyone was so hungry after the climb that all the sandwiches were eaten up and everything else that we brought there. we really had a terrific time. these are moments to treasure and remember. family time is the best time! :)now getting back down to home base is another story! hehehe... this trail that we trekked through, even though not so very high which took us about an hour, gave each of us an experience we never thought we'd be able to tell about. no doubt we didn't actually climb the summit of Gunung Ledang but this was really a truly wonderful accomplishment. salutations to my Dear Mummy and my Dear Auntie. you both did so great!!! i'm so very very proud of you!!! and Thank You Tok for taking us there :)))
