and my sweet hubby didn't forget! they did chop down a few trees in The Maldives and he brought back a few of these for me :D these are great as paper weights and can't wait to alter them! these are called Pempis Acidula, a tropical hardwood tree found in the coastal areas. he'll be sanding and varnishing them and it'll be ready for use.
