Art & Craft

this morning, i found this...
pale purple and kinda boring
i planned to paint it...
but instead, i altered it :)
showed how i "transformed" this cute item to my husband and he was impressed :) i think it turned out quite pretty. you think? i'm usually not quick when it comes to altering anything (would take me days!) but this one, under 2 hours! :D maybe i'll place some Mini Books or cards or maybe for Eid, i'll place some pretty napkins in it to be my "show off" centre piece *wink*

the patterned paper is unavailable here. although *hint hint*, it'll be in December's Groovie Kit :) tis the season *wink*

hope everyone is doing well. in good health and Happy spirits :)
i am wishing this too for the people that aren't as fortunate as we are. i am glad Ron and his friends and i have been able to help in some small way with monthly donations and charity work for the less fortunate. volunteering their time and sacrificing a few hours means nothing to them. but to help and making the effort to do so, only God is able to reward them.

i am a little emotional... *sob sob* probably because sad to see Ramadan go. for me, it's only 30 days of fasting, without food and water. but for those who have nothing much to eat or fresh water to drink on a daily basis...God, please help them. we are truly Blessed. a reminder for me and often to my kids to be Thankful and be Grateful with everything that their Dad has been able to provide them with.

and since my topic today is on Art & Craft, my Sweetie Aneesa just handed me this...she says,
"It's our Happy Family"
a little artist in the making? but she said that's a cat...which we don't have? hehe.. it's Boy, Grandma's cat which we borrowed for the day :D that's a piece of old paper and obviously not acid free! but love the distressed effect and i just love any art work by any of my children :)
*i Heart my Kids*

*Hugs* to All!

LOVE the altered box and LOVE the artwork!!!!

What a wonderful lesson from your post today! You are SO right...we need to stop and consider those who are less fortunate than us. We need to remember to count our blessing everyday!

Wow, I need to start thinking outside of the box. Hmmm.... what can I alter?

I try to remember how blessed my life has been, sometimes its so hard when money gets tight, I need to pray more!!! I am thankful though, really I am.
