Sunday Brunch

we took our 2 Little Ones to this little restaurant for Sunday Brunch while our older kids went for an outing to the Singapore Zoo with their Teachers and Friends from Darul Arqam.

our food will be served on this banana leaf

i had my fave, Masala Thosai :)

lots and lots of Yummy Potatoes wrapped within!

all the different spiced sauces and gravy

this is what's left from my banana leaf..hehe

can't miss having my Teh Tarik ;)

after brunch, we went for a little walk around Little India.
Little India is, as the name promises, the center for the large Indian community in Singapore.
While a rather sanitized version of the
real thing, Little India retains its distinct identity without degenerating into a mere tourist attraction and is one of the most colorful and attractive places to visit in Singapore.

Beautiful decorations for Deepavali

asked her to Smile for me :D she's selling some lovely trinkets.

freshly made Chappati

after a long walk, we stopped for Coconut Juice

i bought a pack of Henna and we did some Henna tattooing on ourselves :)
so how's my tattooing skills??? hehehe...

our Sunday was great! Little India was very busy with people shopping and having makan with selections of North Indian food and many others! very colourful and you can find really less expensive things over there ;) it may be crowded especially during weekends with many of our Indian friends congregating there. getting our Little Kids used to crowds and eating different kinds of food is a great experience for them. so if we go on a trip, we won't have fussy travellers ;)

and talk about travelling, Ron leaves for Bhutan on Monday.
Bhutan is a country nestled in the Eastern Himalayas. The country has been visited by a great many saints, mystics, scholars and pilgrims over the centuries who not only came for their personal elucidation, but blessed the land and it's people with an invaluable spiritual and cultural legacy that has shaped every facet of Bhutanese lives. Visitors and guests to the country will be surprised that the culture and traditional lifestyle is still richly intact and at the degree to which it permeates all strands of modern day secular life.

it's cold there and he's looking forward to the trip! but not so much the weather... wish i could join him liked i said before but he's already made plans for me to hop on a plane and meet him halfway soon! woohoo...i can't wait :D

hope you are well and Thanks for coming by and leaving Sweet Little Notes :) Wishing you a Fabulous Sunday and have a GReat Week ahead! it's the last few days of October and can you believe that November will be with us soon??? i am definitely looking forward to celebrating in November ;)

to my Indian Friends and those celebrating,
Have a Happy Deepavali!!!
