Another Day Across The Country!

went to JB...yet again! but just to City Square, the very first mall you get to when you enter JB ;) just had to go back there one more time! Rena came with us and it was a lovely day to go to JB. we met at 10am at Ang Mo Kio mrt and took the bus from Kranji station. the ride was smooth, bus was quite full for a Thursday morning.

immigration on both sides went pretty smoothly. we went to Taman Seni(i think) to order some Kueh Baulus. his was yummy and crispy when he let us have all his samples!!! hehe... i ordered the butter and peanut butter ones at RM$10 each container. we were told to come and collect at about 2pm. we headed to City Square to shop a fair bit. Rena got her Portuguese Tarts that she loves so much!

we went to Komtar for lunch at Pizza Hut. we had the family meal and i ordered a Calzone for myself! hehe...greedy!!! ;) everyone tucked into their food and enjoyed themselves. we walked around and bought more food to snack on! when we went back to City Square, there was a big crowd gathering on every floor. wondered what was going on?

got my huge strawberry jam donut from Starbucks and we went to Seasons to get more sweet delights! heard everyone talking that someone fell and died. asked the staff at the bakery and she said it was a security guard who fell from the 4th floor! oh dear! how sad and unfortunate! :( of course the building management and other security guards were all there trying to investigate into what happened. Thank Goodness we didn't see the body. it was already covered up and the police were also already there. i believe it happened while we were having lunch.

just sad to think that he went to work that day and not knowing it was to be the last day of his life. but it's God's Will.

Rena and i really bought so much to eat from the bakery! and i'm supposed to be watching my waistline!!! yikes! hehe... we went to get some groceries from the supermarket too. some stuff i can't get from Singapore. things like Ladies Choice peanut butter. mmmm...my favourite! and cookies and candies which my kids love :) after we're all done, we went to collect our order and took the bus back.

alas! the queue at Singapore Immigration was quite long and it was to be a long wait. but i had a shock when an immigration officer tapped my back! she called to me to come with her. uh oh...did my kids get those chewing gums???!!! hehehe... or am i being given priority because i'm with 4 kids??? she didn't say a thing and brought us to the office and just told us to go in. sigh...a sigh of relief! :) we were given priority! guess she felt sorry seeing me carrying my sleeping baby and my kids. Rena was surprised too but it was all good :)

there were 2 other people in the office. i believe they are from Malaysia. they've been detained and one was told he can't enter into Singapore. oh oh... once all our passports were stamped we went through the security and finally, took the bus back to Kranji and home sweet home :)
